Interpol located on Friday (4) the suspect of participating in the attack with Molotov cocktails at the headquarters of the producer Porta dos Fundo, in the south of Rio, in December last year. Eduardo Fauzi Richard Cerquise is detained in Moscow, Russia.
According to his lawyer, Diego Rossi Moretti, the maintenance of the detention depends on the formalization of an extradition request by the Ministry of Justice. The report contacted the ministry, which has yet to confirm whether it has started the procedures for its return to Brazil.
Fauzi left the country on December 29, five days after the attack and one day before the court ordered his arrest. He was identified as one of the five perpetrators of the attack by the Civil Police of Rio, who carried out the investigation, after being captured by security cameras leaving the vehicle used in the escape.

The ROR Advocacia Criminal office, based in Santa Catarina, responsible for the defense of Eduardo Fauzi Cerquize, reports that it is following the process of the process initiated by the Civil Police of the State of Rio de Janeiro.
“Regarding the information that Eduardo was detained, we emphasize that it is not an arrest but rather an arrest carried out by the Russian authorities, with a view to investigating his situation. There is no confirmation of the extradition procedure by the Brazilian authorities. The headquarters of the comedy program Porta dos Fundos was the target of an attack on December 24, Christmas Eve. Around 4 in the morning, two Molotov cocktails were thrown against the facade of the building where the producer works, in Humaitá, south of Rio de Janeiro.
At that moment, one of the security guards managed to control the fire and there were no injuries. The case was registered as a crime of explosion at the Botafogo police station, in the neighboring neighborhood.
The attack took place in the middle of a controversy with the exhibition of the “Christmas Special Porta dos Fundo: The First Temptation of Christ”. The film portrays a gay Jesus (Gregorio Duvivier), who is related to the young Orlando (Fábio Porchat), and a lying God (Antonio Tabet) who lives a love triangle with Mary and Joseph.
According to the police, Fauzi was the only member of the group not wearing a hood at the time of the attack, which allowed him to be identified.

The businessman has already been convicted of assaulting a municipal secretary in Rio and has ties to integralist organizations, a fascist-inspired political movement.
The day after the attack, a group called the People’s Comando de Insurgencia Nacionalista de la Gran Familia Integralista Brasileira published a video claiming responsibility for the attack. The police are investigating whether the attack was organized by an organized group.
