Eduardo Coudet celebrated Inter’s 2-1 victory, today (28), away from home, against Atlético-GO for the round of 16 of the Brazilian Cup. The coach also explained the necessary preservations with the tight schedule of the season.

Colorado started the game with just three players considered starters. Lomba, Cuesta and Marcos Guilherme saw the full team of substitutes and still guarantee a positive result.

We always have to see who is better, regulate physical loads and have the professionals in the area. From there, we can see who is in good shape. The schedule is very tight. Those who play 25 or 30 minutes do not feel the wear and tear of the game, so we use it later. Obviously it is not easy for any coach to make those decisions. But we try to trust who we put on the field, “he said.

Coudet said that it is necessary to measure the load on young people so that they can gradually get into the rhythm of the rest of the team.

“We have many young players who add a few minutes of the first division. We have to go slowly, we cannot skip stages. It is difficult to demand, because we know this situation, we cannot demand the same as the more experienced ones,” he added.

The victory gives Inter the right to play for any new positive result or even recover the duel, next Tuesday, at home.

“I warned them that today was a 180 minute game, not 90 minutes. We will try to be competitive, always put a competitive team on the field,” he added.

The Argentine coach tried to celebrate his winning streak, because Colorado had not won in two games.

“We like to win. And we won. We had two games in which we could not do that, and it was very important,” he concluded.

Colorado returns to the field on Saturday to face Corinthians in São Paulo. The headlines, kept today, will be available again.
