This Tuesday (01), the INSS reissued, in the edition of the Official Gazette of the Union, the Ordinance that extends for two more months, November and December, the interruption of the suspension of the credits of social security benefits due to lack of proof of life to the beneficiaries.

Another article was included in the reissue of the ordinance that extends the suspension of suspension of benefits due to the impossibility of executing the professional rehabilitation program. The outage spanned two months, January and February 2021.

According to the text published last Monday (30), every year, INSS beneficiaries must prove to the government that they are alive. This test is always face-to-face and can be done:

  • in the banking institution where the retiree or pensioner receives the benefit;
  • in an INSS agency;
  • in embassies and consulates;
  • or at the home of retirees and pensioners with reduced mobility.

According to the text of the ordinance, the banking institution responsible for the payment must make the payment normally, that is, the pause does not affect the routine and contractual obligations established between the INSS and the benefit-paying banking network.

Re-enrollment

The Secretariat for Personnel Management and Performance published Normative Instruction in the DOU that establishes guidelines on the re-registration process of retirees, pensioners and political-civil amnesties.

Until January 31, 2021, the annual registration requirement for retirees, pensioners and civil political amnesties is suspended. According to the text, the suspension does not affect the receipt of benefits or pensions by the beneficiaries.
