The National Institute of Social Security (INSS) decided to suspend the scheduled exams after the medical experts did not return to face-to-face activities. The information is from G1.
The National Association of Federal Medical Experts (ANMP) said the category refused to return after only 12 agencies with expert service were adequately protected against Covid-19.
“Even with all the fanfare of the pandemic, we still had agencies without PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to date, among several other problems,” the association said.
The president of the INSS, Leonardo Rolim, told GloboNews that the inspections will be carried out until next Wednesday (16) and that he hopes that the face-to-face service will resume as soon as possible.
The INSS agencies reopened on Monday (14), but in São Paulo they remain closed due to a judicial decision, after the action of the Union of Social Security and Social Security Workers in the state of São Paulo that requested the maintenance of work from distance.
