THE National Institute of Social Security (INSS) announced a 25% increase in the amount of retirement for some beneficiaries. However, the change is only applicable in some cases of retirees due to disability. The change is about the assistance of a companion.
The additional was created with the objective of complementing the retirement of the beneficiaries. The increase amounts to a sum to cover aid for daily activities.
Retirees who receive the benefit must be unable to perform work activities. Thus, when there is a need for a companion, the person responsible for the assistance may be a family member and does not need to be a nurse or a contractor.

The INSS emphasizes the need to have some documents to make the application, which are: CPF and identification document with photo of the applicant and the representative, or lawyer; Term of legal representation or power of attorney; and medical documents showing that the insured is dependent on a third party.
