Do you know what will change in the payment of the 13th salary installment for retirees and pensioners of the National Institute of Social Security – INSS?
According to the decree published by the Government, the agency will anticipate the payment of the 13th social security, awarded annually to those who receive pensions, death pensions or various aid. The measure begins to apply only from 2021.
In 2020, quotas were advanced due to the economic effects caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The new decree aims to extend this new option to other years, without the need for the Federal Government to announce the progress.
13th salary in 2020
The INSS thirteenth salary quotas have already been paid this year, between the end of April and the beginning of June, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The fees, according to the official INSS calendar, had to be paid at the end of the year, although it was common for the first part to be advanced to the month of August.
The Senate will now consider creating, by 2020 alone, a 14th salary for retirees and pensioners of the INSS, with the aim of benefiting citizens who have already obtained 13, and are still experiencing financial difficulties due to the pandemic.
