Retirees, pensioners or beneficiaries of sickness benefits and other programs of the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) to be aware. It turns out that the Federal Council of Justice (CJF) authorized the late payment to 103 thousand beneficiaries, with values that can reach up to R $ 62,700.
It is estimated that of the total number of eligible persons, around 400,000 have already received their due payments.
The total payments to be made are more than R $ 1 billion. The amount is divided by Regional Federal Courts (TRF), depending on the beneficiary’s region. Check the number of beneficiaries and the amount released for each of them:
- 1st Region: 22,060 beneficiaries – R $ 454 million
- 2nd Region: 9,343 beneficiaries – R $ 176 million
- Third Region: 14,462 beneficiaries – R $ 383 million
- 4th Region: 32,073 beneficiaries – R $ 466 million
- 5th Region: 25,617 beneficiaries – R $ 311 million
It is worth mentioning that each TRF defines a payment schedule for its region. The money is released into the account and then released for cash withdrawals.

The so-called “INSS arrears” is a form of payment (judicially), called Small Value Requisition (RPV).

Every month, the Justice releases new batches of late payments to the beneficiaries of the INSS. This deposit occurs up to two months before payments made by the government, when the amount will, in fact, be available for withdrawal.
Who is entitled to payment of arrears?
But, who is entitled to the INSS arrears? Every insured of the municipality has the money to request a review of the benefit in the INSS. Whoever wins the lawsuit will receive the arrears. The value refers to the waiting period.
Therefore, the calculation is made considering a period of five years before the order and the period until the correction.
Who requests a review in the INSS, must request it in the agency and then present the request in court.
It should be mentioned that for actions worth up to 60 times the minimum wage, it is not necessary to hire a lawyer. If the beneficiary has the right to arrears, she can check the withdrawal date by accessing the website responsible for TRF and checking her request.
