On Wednesday the 11th in the afternoon, a serious traffic accident occurred on BR-277 near Laranjeiras do Sul (PR).
Unfortunately, the frontal collision resulted in a fatality.
The PRF (Federal Highway Police), while attending to the accident at the time of KM 473.9 of the BR-277, found a start of cargo looting in one of the vehicles involved, a box truck.
However, even with the arrival of the police on the scene and the body of the victim lying on the ground, a group of indigenous people tried to break into the door of the truck’s cargo compartment.
After much insistence and with the agents unable to do anything, since they are indigenous and any interference can cause severe punishments, the group managed to open the door and began the looting.
At some point, even trampling the body of the driver who awaited the arrival of the IML (Medical Legal Institute).
One of the policemen was hit by a stone on the head, he was treated by the concessionaire’s medical service and is fine.
There were even reports that indigenous people tried to carry out a hauling of vehicles that were stopped in both directions of the blocked road, but there was no record of thefts.
Shortly after, four indigenous people were identified and arrested for looting the truck.
