The São Paulo government announced today that it will anticipate the school recess in the state school system to suspend classroom activities while the emergency phase of the São Paulo Plan lasts, determined by Governor João Doria (PSDB). As a result, schools will not have teaching activities from 15 to 28. The teaching units have been open since February 8, but had a reduced capacity to 35% due to the red phase in effect throughout the state since last Saturday (6 ).

Even without face-to-face education, the state secretary of Education, Rossieli Soares, explained that state units can be opened for the provision of meals and also for the distribution of teaching materials and internet access chips, which is essential in distance education. .
