Images of doctors who died as a result of covid-19 were projected on Sunday night (18) on the fronton of a building located on Rua da Consolação, in the central region of São Paulo. The tribute, promoted by Cremesp (Regional Council of Medicine of the State of São Paulo), takes place on the date that Doctor’s Day is celebrated.
According to the organization, 40 doctors were honored with the initiative it carries out today. The images were sent to the town hall by relatives or legal representatives of these professionals.
For Dr. Irene Abramovich, president of Cremesp, the covid-19 pandemic is a milestone in the history of medicine. “They have never seen us like this before. Our oath was known to the population in practice, in the most tumultuous day to day in the face of so many uncertainties and with all the obstacles we face, even before the pandemic often arrives in working conditions that leave something to be desired, but that it doesn’t make us give up life at any time ”, he says.
Cremesp had already carried out a similar initiative in June, when he screened photos of professionals on the front lines of the fight against coronavirus. The actions are part of a campaign created by the Africa agency, which also includes thanking the doctors who remain on the front line against Sars-CoV-2.
Surgical mask illustration is also designed
In another tribute to medical professionals, the São Paulo State Public Servant Hospital has been showing, since last Friday (16), the projection of a surgical mask on the top of one of its buildings.
Named “Med-Sinal,” in reference to the “Bat-Sinal” from the comics, the projection uses the surgical mask as a heroic symbol for medical professionals.
The action, with the slogan “Doctors against Covid-19”, was voluntarily illustrated by the comic artist Danyael Lopes and will continue to be shown until October 22, from 7 to 10 p.m., on the facade of the building located on Borges street Lagoa 1755..
“An outstanding action not only to show the importance of wearing the mask, but for being a heroic symbol for all who are working directly in the fight against Covid-19,” said Wilson Pollara, superintendent of Iamspe. State public servant).
