They were identified as Tatiane Strey, 31, and Lohane Vitória Martins, 11, mother and daughter who died in an accident in the city of Aurora this Saturday 24.
The incident occurred on the SC-350, in Alto Vale do Itajaí. According to firefighters, the accident happened around 6:45 a.m. and involved two vehicles. The victims were trapped in the hardware.
Firefighters had to use the extractor to carry out the rescue. In one of the vehicles, according to firefighters, were Tatiane and her children, three children aged nine months, 2 years and 11 years, the latter, Lohane.
The baby and the two-year-old boy were rescued by Samu and sent to the Rio do Sul and Ituporanga hospital.
The 11-year-old girl did not survive the injuries and died at the crash site. The children’s mother was transferred to the Rio do Sul hospital, but she did not resist either and died.
The 28-year-old driver of the other vehicle was not injured and remained at the scene.
The IGP and the State Highway Police (PRE) were summoned to respond to the incident.
