Ibope survey in Rio: Paes, 53%; Crivella, 28% | 2020 elections in Rio de Janeiro

According to Ibope, the voting intentions of former mayor Eduardo Paes are more pronounced as schooling increases: he obtains 44% in primary school and reaches 61% among those who have studied higher education. Their performance is best among voters aged 16-24 (64%), among Catholics (67%), those with incomes above 5 times the minimum wage (66%) and among those who rate the current administration as poor / very poor (72%).

According to Ibope, Crivella stands out more among men (34%) than among women (23%), among those between 35 and 44 years old, among those who attended primary school (both segments with 35% mentions), among evangelicals (54%) and also among voters who rate their performance as excellent / good (81%) and fair (51%).

The percentage of valid votes of each candidate corresponds to the proportion of the candidate’s votes over the total votes, excluding white, invalid and undecided votes. A candidate is elected if he obtains 50% plus one of the valid votes in the official count.
