Romano dos Anjos, Record presenter who was kidnapped last Monday (26), in Boa Vista, Roraima, told details of the traumatic moments he lived. The journalist, who was found alive a day later, said he was abandoned after the attacks. “I spent the night screaming, asking for help,” he said.

The journalist is still in a Roraima hospital, where he is recovering from the injuries he sustained, including a fractured left shoulder and injuries to his leg. He spoke of the fear of being traumatized.

“I don’t know when I will be able to exercise my profession as it should be done,” he declared in an interview with reporter Eduardo Ribeiro, from Domingo Espetacular.

The owner of the Mete Bronca newscast on Imperial TV, affiliated with Record, thought he would not survive. “I thought they were going to kill me,” he said. He was located after police officers received an anonymous tip. The full interview will be broadcast on the program next Sunday (1st). The attraction begins at 7:45 pm, at Record.

Romano was kidnapped when he was at his home in Boa Vista. He was having dinner with his wife, Nattacha Vasconcelos, at the time the criminals broke into the couple’s residence after the money, around 8 p.m. The woman was also attacked by bandits.

“I saw someone pointing the gun at his head and asking him if he loved me,” recalled the Imperial TV host.

As they did not find what they were looking for, the kidnappers tied up the presenter and took the journalist hostage in his own car. The vehicle was located on fire two hours later. So far, no information has been released about the arrest of the suspects or whether they are at large.
