Huawei new 5T arrives in Brazil with Kirin 980 and competitive price

Silently, Huawei announced on Friday (24) the launch of a smartphone for the Brazilian market: it is the new 5T, even with the small “n”, which had already been presented in August of the year. Last The model brings similar specifications to the P30 Pro, the top of the line of the 2019 brand and arrives in Brazil at a very interesting price.

Available in black and blue, the new 5T comes with the standard look for 2020: edge-to-edge screen with a hole in the screen to house the front camera. The panel has 6.26-inch IPS LCD technology with Full HD + resolution (2340×1080 pixels) and 96% color saturation, which should bring image quality closer to OLEDs.

Like its new nova 7 SE, also announced this week by Huawei, on the Chinese market, the new 5T has a digital reader on the side.

Inside, the new 5T is basically identical to the P30 Pro. That is, it is equipped with an eight-core HiSilicon Kirin 980 processor that runs at up to 2.6 GHz, 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of internal UFS 2.1 storage (no space ) for microSD) and Mali-G76 MP10 GPU. Additionally, there are two NPUs (Neural Processing Units) that work together to improve the performance of the device.

According to Huawei, the new 5T brings the GPU Turbo 3.0 function, which is a graphics processing technology that combines software and hardware to increase the performance of some compatible games (not specified by the company).

As for the battery, there are 3,750 mAh with support for fast charging of 22.5 W which, according to the company, recharges 50% of the energy in just 24 minutes. The smartphone still has Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC, but it doesn’t have a P2 or 5G headphone jack, although the Brazilian doesn’t need it yet.

The new 5T arrives in Brazil equipped with the EMUI 9.1 interface based on Android 9 Pie. However, Huawei did not say when it will make the update available for Android 10, and consequently EMUI 10.1.

In addition, it was not reported whether the new 5T will come with support for Google’s main services, considering that the global version of the smartphone was presented in the middle of the China-United States trade war, in August last year.

With a focus on artificial intelligence (AI), the new 5T is equipped with a quad set of cameras, with a 48 MP (f / 1.8) main camera, a 16 MP (f / 2.2) ultra wide angle, a macro 2 MP (f / 2.4) and the latter has 2 MP for the notion of depth. The front camera is 32 MP and also has AI.

The new Huawei 5T is available in Brazil through the fast e-commerce store starting this Friday (24) for the suggested price of R $ 2,999. For those who buy the smartphone, the company will give away a Huawei Band 4 as a gift, which would cost R $ 250 separately.
