On December 30, the Ministry of Economy published the dates of the 2021 holidays in the Official Gazette of the Federation.
According to the calendar, the year will have ten national holidays, in addition to seven optional points of the federal public administration.
See below the complete list of holidays and optional points for 2021:

- Friday, January 1 – Universal Fellowship
- April 2, Friday – Passion of Christ
- April 4, Sunday – Easter
- April 21, Wednesday – Tiradentes
- May 1, Saturday – World Labor Day
- September 7, Tuesday – Independence of Brazil
- Tuesday, October 12 – Our Lady of Aparecida
- November 2, Tuesday – All Souls
- Monday, November 15 – Proclamation of the Republic
- December 25, Saturday – Christmas
Holidays with optional point
- February 15, Monday – Carnival
- February 16, Tuesday – Carnival
- February 17, Ash Wednesday (until 2 p.m.)
- Thursday June 3 – Corpus Christi
- Thursday October 28 – Public Servant Day – art. 236 of Law 8.112, of December 11, 1990, to be held on November 1 (optional point)
- December 24, Friday – Christmas Eve (after 2 pm)
- December 31, Friday – New Years Eve (after 2 pm)
