In the interview, Monique said that the son was “kind, polite, docile, loving” and “a wonderful boy.” “He was my life, my priority, he was the sweetest boy in the world,” she said.
After his death was confirmed at the hospital, Henry Borel’s body underwent an examination at the Medical Legal Institute (IML). The report noted scattered lesions throughout the boy’s body, hemorrhagic infiltrations on the front, side and back of the head, contusions to the kidney, lung and liver.
The cause of death was “internal bleeding caused by a ruptured liver.” For the experts heard by the newspaper Extra and TV Globo, the edema, bruises, bruises and bruises listed in the document are not compatible with a domestic accident.
Monique’s husband, the councilor ruled out that there was a crime in the death of his stepson. “I am absolutely sure, before God, that the murder was not,” said the parliamentarian.

According to Monique, at dawn on the 8th, she and Jairinho were in a room watching television, while their son slept in the couple’s room.
The boy’s stepfather told police that he was watching a series in the guest room with his wife so as not to disturb his stepson’s sleep. Monique said she woke up around 3:30 am to the sound of the television on.
She reported going to the couple’s room, where she saw her son lying on the floor. “When I opened the bedroom door, I saw him lying on the floor. I took my son, put him to bed. I found it strange. His hands and feet were very cold. I called Jairinho. He wrapped my son in a blanket and we went to the hospital, ”said the mother.
Jairinho said he rushed to the hospital. “I thought he was feeling sick and it would be more effective to take him to the hospital,” he said.
“By the time I enter the hospital, there are already four health professionals on top, then six, then eight. I saw that it was serious. Monique nervous. It was the most horrible two hours of my life, ”said Jairinho.
“What strikes me the most is the sequence of events, is that you deliver your child well, a healthy child, full of life and hours later, many hours later, you find your child dead, without explanation,” said the father. of Henry.
