A head-on collision involving two vehicles, one white Toyota Corolla model and the other a Ford Fiesta Vermelho, left eight people injured on the BR-343 road, near the Morada Nova neighborhood, in southern Teresina, late in the afternoon Saturday morning (26).

With the heavy impact, the cars were completely destroyed. In the accident there was a fuel leak and that is why it was necessary to throw sand in the assault to avoid explosions.

According to information provided by the Federal Highway Police, which prohibited the road and controlled traffic, the driver of the Ford Fiesta overtook a prohibited place and collided head-on with the other vehicle. The drivers were subjected to a blood alcohol test, which resulted in a negative rate of alcohol consumption.
