Group does trawling in the Cracolândia region, central SP; watch video | Saint Paul

Videos recorded by residents of Alameda Nothmann, in the center of São Paulo, show a group that carries out a tow to several cars that circulate through the Cracolândia region this Tuesday afternoon (8). The region concentrates several drug users, and the Military Police were called.

The images show the group smashing car windows and looting drivers on the corners of Alameda Nothmann and Conselheiro Nébias and Guaianazes streets. (see video above).

At least six vehicles were attacked on the trawler, according to the images. Drivers even took to the curb with their cars to escape the criminals during the action. Traffic was congested on the stretch at the time of the trawler.

According to the Prime Minister’s press room, the vehicles drove to the region because homeless people in the Cracolândia region reportedly suffered a “spontaneous upheaval” and headed to Avenida Rio Branco around 1 pm. The vehicles remain in place to try to prevent other criminal actions, the prime minister said.

According to reports from locals, the security forces used bombs during the action in Cracolândia, which may have motivated the trawler.
