Grêmio scores at the end and beats Inter in the first Gre-Nal of the season

Grêmio and Internacional used all the cardholders they could, but whoever decided was on the bench. Léo Chu, 43 minutes into the second half, fired from outside the area and decided the first Gre-Nal of the season. In addition to winning the rival again, Renato Portaluppi’s team takes the leadership of the Rio Grande do Sul Championship exactly from the hands of Colorado.

The Gre-Nal 430 was marked by missed goals. Praxedes and Lucas Ribeiro at Inter, Ferreira and Ricardinho at Grêmio. Until Leo Chu took a chance.

The victory makes Grêmio draw on points with Inter, but the advantage is unionist by tiebreaker. Renato’s team still has one less game (delayed game with Caxias, scheduled for next Saturday 10).

In the next round, Inter will visit Aimoré. Grêmio has a different agenda. On Wednesday they will face Independiente Del Valle, in Ecuador, for the preliminary round of the Copa Libertadores. And the weekend catches up late in Gauchão.

Who did it right: Leo Chu

The attacking midfielder entered the second half and added speed to Grêmio’s attack. In the end, he still had the audacity to kick from outside the box. In fact, hard. Decisive.

Who disappointed: Patrick

So important for Inter in recent years, the 88 shirt made a classic there. At the beginning of the second half, she had sparkles and still created little. He left early.

Grêmio mobilizes attack, but leaves space in the middle

Grêmio left the ball with Internacional, but stayed up. The pressure in the short start generated good situations (from the great mobilization of the trio Alisson, Pinares and Diego Souza), but Renato’s team lacked aim or even more depth. The only submission came in the 36th minute of the first half (and without much danger). The strategy and practice of the game created a hole in midfield, which Inter explored in small doses and still creates problems. The defense managed to prevail, most of the time.

In the second half, Grêmio had more presence in the attack. Ferreira created chances, always closing from end to center. In one, the kick was not accurate. The opportunities really came more after the break. Ricardinho almost scored from below, after a Vanderson cross. But it was up to Léo Chu, from outside the area, to decide.

Inter is under pressure and there is no short exit

Grêmio’s strategy created unprecedented difficulty for Internacional this season. With Cuesta and Lucas Ribeiro under pressure, the long pass generated a good march through the middle. Dourado opened the game with a mission to retire, but it didn’t go well. Edenilson took on the role and gave it more dynamism. With Mauricio and Patrick leading the way, Inter lacked speed to attack. Still, the great opportunity of the first half was colored. Praxedes stopped in the hands of Brenno, in the incorporations.

After the break, Inter created another good opportunity. Extraordinarily. Lucas Ribeiro fired from defense to attack and, with no one capable of making a tackle, kicked to the left of Grêmio’s goal. In the final stretch of the duel, the team slowed down.
