Government of Amazonas revokes decree and announces commercial reopening

Manaus / AM – The governor of Amazonas, Wilson Lima announced that he will relax the restrictive measures of the state decree that determined the closure of non-essential services for 15 days. The announcement was made at dawn on Sunday (27) after a meeting, which lasted more than 3 hours, with representatives of commercial entities, at the Integrated Command and Control Center (CICC).

The decree that prohibits the operation of commerce has sparked a wave of protests in the capital since Saturday morning.

With the flexibility of the measures, the stores will reopen, from Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will close on weekends. The shopping centers are also expected to close on Saturdays and Sundays and during the week they will operate with restricted hours, from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The bars and restaurants will be open until 10:00 pm. Events in general are still prohibited.

The new rules for the operation of non-essential activities must begin to apply from this Monday (28) and continue until January 11.
