Google will launch the Google Meets voice and video calling service for free starting this Monday 4. The tool, used to promote corporate meetings, must undergo modifications to work for free, being suitable to accommodate up to 100 people per meeting . The information is from the Tecnoblog website.
“Google Meet will soon be available for free,” is what the ad says on the tool’s website. In the paid version, in addition to attending meetings, it is also possible to organize and schedule them, with a maximum number of 250 participants per call. In the free version, the service offered will be the same, but will be adapted.
The number of members per call, for example, is reduced to 100 people per meeting, with no time limit until September 30. Video conferences, according to the technology portal, should last up to an hour.
The service will be gradually available among users and can be accessed through the web or through the applications for Android and iOS (iPhone and iPad), it is sufficient that the user has a Google account, used as an “access credential”.
Chat apps have gained support in these pandemic days, with the increase in telecommuting workers. Parliamentarians, magistrates and managers of companies that did not live with the system had to adapt to the tool.
