São Luís airport, in Maranhão, caught fire on Saturday afternoon (26), and the great fire almost arrived in a GOL Boeing 737, as the impressive images show.

The images were recorded by workers at the São Luís airport from the aircraft yard and posted on the Internet. Through them, it is possible to see part of the passenger terminal on fire and one of the fingers (boarding bridge) completely surrounded by fire. The cause of the accident is unknown, but Infraero has confirmed that there are no injuries.

Of the captured scenes, only a 737-800 from Gol company, with PR-GGM registration, was cooled down by the airport firefighters, but without apparent damage. Other images already show the plane uncoupled from the finger, which was burned.

Another video (below), recorded by a passenger, shows an Airbus LATAM being evacuated because the smoke is very close to the aircraft. The airport was closed during the fire and until firefighters controlled the flames.
