After Jair Bolsonaro (without a party) told the press to shut up in an interview on Tuesday (5), José Roberto Burnier responded to the statement. The Globonews journalist asked for space in his comment and sent a message to the president.

“Before closing, if you will excuse me, I will send a message to Mr. President Jair Bolsonaro,” Burnier announced at the end of the 10am issue of the Globonews newspaper. “We are not going to shut up,” he emphasized.

“I sympathize and we all sympathize with our fellow journalists from Brasilia, whom the President of the Republic and his followers are scolding on a daily basis. That they (journalists) are only doing their job, we are all doing it. We won’t shut up, ”added Burnier.

The president sent a “silence” after criticizing a report in the Folha de S. Paulo newspaper. In the content of the publication, the newspaper reported that the change of command of the superintendency of the Federal Police in Rio de Janeiro is of interest to Bolsonaro.
