Gean Loureiro, from DEM, is reelected mayor of Florianópolis | St. Catarina

Gean Loureiro has a degree in Law, Administration and a Master in Production Engineering. He was a councilor for five consecutive terms and, in 2011, he assumed the position of federal deputy. Loureiro was also president of the Foundation for the Environment and elected state deputy in 2014.

When he won, Gean sent a video in which he said: “Guys, I want to thank the entire city of Florianópolis, the entire population. Thank the voters of Florianópolis who allowed, after 20 years, a mayor to be re-elected with the higher vote in the first time in turn, 126 thousand votes. This further increases my responsibility to continue this work. It is important to note that in this campaign the work won politics. The clean, positive and proposed campaign that we did won the dirty campaign and the political framework. The important thing is to think from now on. So, tomorrow at 6 am I am in the city hall. In the three polls conducted by Ibope in the first round, Loureiro appeared as first place. In the first, released on October 5, it had 44% of the votes. In the second, on November 2, it had 58%. Finally, in the broadcast on Saturday (14), it appeared with 62%.
