After confirmation of departure from David assayag do Caprichoso, Garantido prepares an announcement of news that may arrive this Monday.
The rojiblanco bumbá’s plan is to form a ‘set of aces’ with David Assayag, Sebastião Júnior and Edilson Santana, assuming, respectively, the positions of toada lifter, presenter and master of the ox.
Three sources heard by the report linked to Garantido’s management point out the possibility as concrete. The change implies the possible departure of Israel Paulain, presenter for 18 years of bumbá, is the candidate for mayor of Nhamundá. With a real chance of being elected, Israel leaves room for Sebastião Júnior to assume his position without losing prominence in Garantido.
The step from setter toadas to presenter is something that has already happened to historical bumbás names, such as Paulinho Faria, in Garantido, and Arlindo Jr, in Caprichoso.
In this new scenario, Edilson Santana, who at the moment does not occupy an official position in Garantido, would once again occupy the position of teacher, which he has already held in both bumbás. He would replace Gaspar Medeiros, who took over the issue last year.
In contact with A CRÍTICA’s report this Sunday, the president of Garantido, Antônio Andrade, admitted that this Monday he would speak with David Assayag, Sebastião Júnior and Edilson Santana. Sebastião was in Juruti, Pará, this Sunday and should arrive in Parintins this Monday.
