Globo has defined how it will use Galvão Bueno in the transmission of Brazil x Bolivia, for the first round of the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers, next Friday (9), at 9:30 pm. Without being able to narrate because he is part of the covid-19 risk group -he is 70 years old-, the station’s star will participate in the pre-game, the rest and the post-game, commenting on the performance of the Brazilian team in the match.

The idea is that Galvão will continue to tell stories of his connection with the Brazilian team throughout his innings.

The information is confirmed by the Rio station. Galvão Bueno will participate in video, directly from his home in Londrina, in the interior of Paraná. His participation in the match was a way Globo found to keep its titular narrator in some way connected to the games in Brazil at the moment, as he will only return to the narrations on Globo after a vaccine for the new coronavirus.

As UOL Esporte had already reported, Luis Roberto will be in charge of narrating the game. It will be the return of the 59-year-old storyteller to the games in Brazil after just over a year. To save Galvão Bueno for the final of the Libertadores last year, he was scheduled to play a friendly match with the national team. Before that, Luís had also played Brazilian games in the Confederations Cup in 2001. Interestingly, it will be his debut in official World Cup qualifiers matches throughout his career on the Rio de Janeiro radio station.

His scale in the Brazilian games began to occur more frequently after the great performance at the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Along with Luís Roberto and Galvão Bueno, Brazil x Bolivia will be broadcast on Globo with comments from Júnior, Roger Flores and Paulo César de Oliveira. The report will be in charge of Guilherme Pereira and Edgar Alencar.

The debut of the selection will also be broadcast on SporTV exclusively on pay television. In the Globo sports pay channel, the commander will be the narrator Luiz Carlos Jr, who has already participated in matches of the Brazilian team since 2018 with Gustavo Villani and Milton Leite, the latter cannot narrate matches either, because he is part of the group of risk. of Covid-19. Along with Luiz Carlos Jr, there will be comments from Lédio Carmona, Muricy Ramalho and Sandro Meira Ricci, and reports from André Hernan.

Brazil x Bolivia marks Globo’s debut coverage of the Qualifiers. The station has guaranteed the Brazil matches at home and the match between Brazil x Argentina that takes place in the neighboring country. Other matches of national teams away from home, in addition to strong clashes from other countries, such as Uruguay x Argentina, for example, are still available in the Brazilian market for an announcer to show them. SBT was interested in this package for Conmebol and asked for information on the matter.

The entity tries to align the national federations, which have the right to sell these games from this year, to negotiate with the vehicles in a married way. The first game outside the country of the Brazilian team will be against Peru, on Tuesday 13th. The match is scheduled for 9pm (Brasilia time).
