Maurício Galiotte, president of Palmeiras, says he understands the discomfort of the fans in relation to the name that will replace Vanderlei Luxemburg, but explains that he will not give up some basic concepts to close with the new coach.
In contact with Blog, the director preferred not to give a deadline for the end of the novel and said that he understands that now is the time to insist on the project idealized by him and the members of his board of directors. It should be remembered that, in November 2019, he used that same speech, but ended up closing with Vanderlei Luxembourg. Now, he says it will be different.
“I understand the anxiety of the fans, I understand that they want to know the new name. But I cannot give up the project, the concept, the ideas that we have what Palmeiras needs. It is a model of the game, not necessarily just a style, and You have to know how to work with the base. We are working hard to close and I have to do it in silence, “said the top hat.
Galiotte declined to comment on a specific name yet. He also reiterated what Palmeiras officials have said since last night, when Argentine journalists said Heinze rejected Alviverde’s invitation.
“We did not take anything from anyone. We did not take or from Miguel, because he agreed to work with us, but he needed time for that. We did not make any other proposal and we did not,” he concluded.
