Samsung announced on Wednesday (2) the launch of the new Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra in Brazil. The products had been presented worldwide in an online event on the 5th with a series of novelties and, now, their arrival in Brazilian territory is confirmed. Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra: price in Brazil
The pre-sale of the Galaxy Note 20 begins on Thursday (2) and runs until the 17th of this month. Official sales begin on September 18.
The suggested price of the traditional Galaxy Note 20 is R $ 6,499 in the version with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra has a suggested price of R $ 7,999 in the version with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory.
About the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra
The Galaxy Note 20 comes in two versions and with many differences between them: starting with the construction, in which it has the most basic model using a plastic finish and the most powerful, in glass. Another difference between the two versions is in the display: the Note 20 has a 6.7-inch 60 Hz flat screen, while the Note 20 Ultra comes with a 6.9-inch 120 Hz screen.
Inside, the smartphones are equipped with the Exynos 990 chip, the same one present in the Galaxy S20 line. The Note 20 comes with 8 GB of RAM and options with 128 or 256 GB of internal memory, while the Note 20 Ultra has versions of 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 128, 256 or 512 GB of internal storage.
As for the battery, the most basic model hits the market with a capacity of 4,300 mAh, while the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra has 4,500 mAh.
Support for the so-called 5G DSS, a technology that allows 4G LTE frequencies to be shared with 5G-compatible devices, was also confirmed. According to Claro, the first telephone operator to bring the news to Brazil, the connection is up to 12 times faster than the traditional 4G.
As far as the camera is concerned, both have a triple set on the back, but the Note 20 Ultra stands out for the presence of the main 108 MP sensor, the same one present in the S20 Ultra, and the laser focus.
A main feature of the Galaxy Note line, the S Pen is now more intelligent and accurate, as well as being able to recognize more gestures and have greater integration with other Samsung applications. The biggest novelty of this new generation is the latency of just 9 milliseconds (ms) in the Note 20 Ultra, a reduction of almost 81% compared to the Note 10 stylus. The traditional Note 20 has an S Pen with a latency of 26 ms, which is still almost 50% more accurate compared to 42 ms for the previous generation.
