[ad_1]

Are you looking for a good broker to buy and that question arose: go from Samsung or Motorola? The two companies have a multitude of models for sale in Brazil and this can confuse consumers when choosing. TudoCelular will help you list the pluses and minuses of the Galaxy A51 and Moto G8 Plus to find out which one is worth your money the most.

Comparative index

Design

Samsung Galaxy A51

Motorola Moto G8 Plus

The intermediaries of Samsung and Motorola are committed to a differentiated design, but with the same choice of materials. They both have plastic bodies, either on the sides or on the back. The Galaxy exaggerates less at the edges and gives it a more modern product feel.

The G8 Plus has a more traditional teardrop notch, while the A51 has a hole in the screen. They are the same size and Motorola is a little heavier. Another difference is that in the Korean model we have a biometric reader on the screen, while in Motorola the technology is older and is behind the device.

On the back we have striking colors for both, making it clear that Samsung and Motorola are targeting the younger crowd. The cameras of the G8 Plus are shaped like an inverted exclamation, while in the A51 there is the traditional black block also present in the brand’s flagships.

The A51 gets a point for a more current design with fewer edges and less weight.

Screen and sound

When it comes to the display, it seems everyone prefers Samsung’s Super AMOLED and the question arises: is the A51’s display really better than the G8 Plus’s IPS LCD panel?

In color rendering, you will have more vibrant tones on the A51, but if you prefer a calibration closer to reality, it is also possible to have this on the Samsung phone, just change the color profile in the settings. The brightness in manual mode is a bit higher on the G8 Plus, but when in automatic mode, the A51 goes a little further in open places, making it better to use it directly in the sun.

On the sound side, Motorola is where it stands out. The G8 Plus has a dual speaker with stereo sound and Dolby Atmos support. The quality and power are better than the A51’s only mono sound. The Motorola headset that comes with your phone is also better and more comfortable than the Samsung accessory. If you are looking for the best for listening to music, go to the G8 Plus.

Everyone has a point: Galaxy has a better screen and Motorola has a better sound.

software

The A51 reached the national market with Android 10, while the G8 Plus came with Pie and is still in this version. Typically, manufacturers release only one major update for their intermediate smartphones, which should warrant Android 11 at Samsung, already at Motorola …

The Galaxy has a lot of modified and full-featured software. Many of them will probably never be used in your life, but they are there to make usability more complete. The G8 Plus has the same gestures present from the first models in the line. Your software is cleaner and better optimized, and the choice is up to you.

For having a more complete and updated software, we give the A51 a point.

performance

The shorter the time, the better

Motorola decided to go for Snapdragon 665, the most common hardware in intermediaries today. Samsung was on its own chip, the Exynos 9611. In theory, the Korean processor is more powerful, but in practice it was run over by the rival.

In our speed test, the G8 Plus was 7 seconds more agile in multitasking. Does that mean a lot in actual day-to-day use? Not really, but switching between apps is faster on Motorola. Perhaps the fault for Samsung’s slower animations or One UI’s lack of optimization.

In benchmarks we also have a slight edge for the G8 Plus. In AnTuTu it even gives a difference of 10% in the score. But is this really important? In games, they both do well and offer similar performance, but the G8 Plus ends up warming up a bit more in long gaming sessions … nothing to worry about.

The G8 Plus gets a point for better performance.

Drums

The longer the time, the better (except recharge)

Both have a 4,000 mAh battery. Theoretically it should produce the same, but since the Galaxy has more screen, it ends up offering a few hours less autonomy. Either way, it’s still enough for a full day of use without worrying about carrying a charger or power bank.

Despite producing less, the A51’s battery recharges faster and spends less time in the outlet. It’s a shame Motorola hasn’t kept the same Turbo charger as the G7 Plus.

Here we draw: G8 Plus has better battery and A51 recharges faster

Cameras

Both devices have a 48 MP camera. The difference is that the G8 Plus has a larger focal aperture, allowing you to shoot better photos at night. Also, Motorola has a more efficient night mode. If you shoot more during the day or in well-lit places, you will have better photos with the Galaxy A51.

Both of them also have an ultra-wide camera, but the G8 serves only as an action camera that shoots videos with less shake. If you want larger photos to include a large class, you should choose the A51.

There is also a depth sensor in both to help blur scenes. While the Galaxy stands out for having the most dedicated camera for macros. If you want to photograph small details of plants and animals, you will enjoy what the A51 has to offer.

By having a better camera we give point to the A51.

And for selfies, who wins? If we analyze only the resolution, the A51’s 32 MP camera could take advantage of the G8 Plus’s 25 MP camera. Both do not use all of this resolution by default, as they compress the images to generate smaller files. This compression process is more aggressive on the G8 Plus and results in greater loss of detail.

Overall, the A51 records better selfies, especially indoors and at night. In the G8 Plus you will even get good pictures, but try to stay close to the light. Portrait mode on the Galaxy is also a bit better, and it fails less than Motorola’s rival.

With that, the Galaxy takes one more point.

Both record in 4K with good quality. If you want to control tremor well, you need to reduce the resolution to Full HD. The Galaxy generally handles colors and HDR better, making it a better choice for daytime shooting. On the other hand, the laser focus of the G8 Plus is more agile.

With the front we have a similar quality in both. In audio capture we have a slightly cleaner sound on the A51.

Here we will draw.

Price

Since cell phone prices have not increased in recent weeks, it is really difficult to invest in a good broker without paying expensive. If you want the more affordable of the two, then the option is for the Moto G8 Plus, which costs an average of 300 reais less today.

For a better price, Motorola takes a point.

Completed

After analyzing all aspects of each phone, it is clear that the Galaxy A51 is a better buy. Granted, it’s more expensive, but you get more same-size displays, more current design, less recharge time, better cameras, and more up-to-date and comprehensive software.

If your budget is too tight, investing in the Moto G8 Plus will not be a bad purchase. The Motorola phone has better sound, is a little faster and the battery lasts longer. Its screen may not be an AMOLED of life, but it has good quality. Cleaner software pleases many people, Motorola just needs to be more agile in updates
