Forward Gabriel Verón revealed this Sunday that he tested positive for Covid-19 and will be another embezzlement from Palmeiras in the next matches. The player himself announced the diagnosis on his social networks. The club has not yet spoken.
Verón started for Palmeiras in the 2-0 victory over Fluminense, this Saturday, at Allianz Parque, but will not be able to face Ceará on Wednesday, in Fortaleza, for the second leg of the quarterfinals of the Copa do Brasil .
Also on Sunday, left-back Matías Viña tested positive for the Uruguayan team, was called up and will not be able to reinforce Palmeiras this week.
