From the small screen to the big screen: how to see the lives of artists on television – 04/25/2020

To entertain people who are isolated and to maintain some contact with the public, various artists have been doing live shows on both social media and on television channels during the coronavirus pandemic.

Most lives are carried out on digital platforms like Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. But often watching the show on a small screen can be awkward. The larger television screen helps share this moment with those who live with you.

Smart tv

If you have a smart TV, there are two ways to watch the broadcast.

1. You can access the desired platform from the TV, either through the application installed on the device, in the case of YouTube, or through the web, in the case of Instagram and Facebook, and enter the moment live. Consult your smart TV manual to find out how to enter the application area.
2. The other way is by pairing the smartphone with the TV. But this is only possible with YouTube and it is necessary that both devices are connected to the same wi-fi network.
   You must enter the desired live by cell phone:
   

   

   And tap on the streaming icon (rectangle with wifi signal) in the upper right corner.

   

   This done, you can use your smartphone normally. You can also do this pairing on your PC.

   

   Just go to the desired live YouTube, click the three dots in the upper right corner of the screen, next to the writing bar, click “Stream” and choose your smart TV.

Chromecast

The Google accessory allows you to stream your smartphone to your TV, other than a smart TV. Requires an Internet connection, HDMI input on the TV and a power outlet.

After connecting the devices and downloading the Google Home app on your phone, you need to turn on the Bluetooth of your smartphone, search for the device within the app and make some settings. So you only need to enter the desired live and ready. That way, you can only access YouTube.

You can also connect through the PC, accessing the web versions of Instagram and Facebook.

Simply access the desired live, from any platform, click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the screen, next to the writing bar, click on “Cast” and choose Chromecast.

Screen pairing

Does your TV have an HDMI input and does it have the cable? Just connect your laptop to a free HDMI input on the back of the TV, switch to the corresponding channel, for example if it was on HDMI 2, switch to HDMI 22, and voila. Whatever is on the PC screen will be displayed on the television.

Videogame

Do you have a PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 or Xbox One? Since they have Internet access, you can access YouTube live. Just download the app and enter the desired program.
