In the images there is a young man sitting on the ground, next to the cobra, which is loose. He runs his hand near the snake’s head and also hits the ground, more than once, to see the animal’s reaction.

In a second video, you can see that the cobra is inside a plastic box. Through a hole, a person provokes the snake, which comes out partially.

In a third recording, two people appear extracting venom from a snake, which would be a jararaca. One man holds the animal and another holds a glass; you can see how it expels the poison.

Through the audio you can hear that the man calls the young Pedro. Then he asks, in an ironic tone, as the liquid drips into the glass: “Does it have poison?”

Pedro Henrique Santos Krambeck Lehmkul, 22, was bitten by a cobra on July 7. The snake is one of the most poisonous in the world, and there was no antiophidic serum in the Federal District.

The private hospital to which the student was transferred had to request the antidote from the Butantan Institute in São Paulo, the only place that had the serum in the country, for research. Pedro went into a coma and was in mortal danger.

Investigations by the Civil Police show that the young man raised the snake in his home illegally and that he had at least 18 snakes. According to the corporation, Pedro’s mother and stepfather knew about illegal animal husbandry.

After the incident with the cobra, the Capital Police intensified investigations into the illegal breeding of exotic species in Mexico City. The corporation even said the case revealed an animal trafficking scheme with likely international ramifications.

Pedro Henrique Krambeck and Gabriel Ribeiro, his friend, were arrested. However, they were released and respond to the process in freedom.
