Fortaleza announced, at the end of the night this Monday (9), that Rogério Ceni is no longer the team’s coach. Leão do Pici made the statement through his social networks, thanking the coach for his work. The Ceará team informed that the assistants Charles Hembert and Nelson Simões, and the physical trainer Danilo Augusto will also leave Tricolor.

The trend is for Rogério Ceni to sign as Flamengo’s new coach in the next few hours. The coach is expected in Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday morning (10).

In two stages in Fortaleza, Ceni scored 81 victories in 153 matches. As a coach, he has a Brazilian Championship Series B title (2018), a Northeast Cup (2019) and two Ceará State Championships (2019 and 2020). The current Flamengo coach also had a quick stage in Cruzeiro in 2019 (8 games) and São Paulo in 2017 (35 games)
