A man was arrested at dawn on Wednesday (23) in Itapema (SC) after confessing to having killed the woman and a child on the 15th with poisoned meat. The bodies of Josiele Lopes, 36, and her son, a 3-month-old baby, were also found this morning in Rio dos Cedros (SC). Information is from G1.
According to the police, the man, who is the victim’s ex-partner, was arrested on suspicion of the murder of the baby and femicide of the woman. The bodies of the victims were buried in a wooded area. In testimony, the suspect claimed that the crime was motivated by the discovery that the ex-partner was in another romantic relationship.
“He got a poison and put it in his ex-partner’s meat. The baby breastfed. The mother began to feel ill and the ex-partner, under the pretext of helping her, put them both in the car and went to the city of Rio dos Cedros and hid the corpse of these two people who were already dead, probably inside the car . ”, Explained the police chief Diogo Medeiros to G1.
The couple stayed together for about 1 year and according to the family, fights between them were frequent in the house where they lived in Itapema. It was not specified how long they had been apart.
