The former federal deputy between 1999 and 2018, Carlos Eduardo Cadoca, died this Sunday (13). He had been hospitalized for more than a month at the Hospital Português do Recife, after contracting covid-19. Cadoca leaves behind his wife, Berenice Andrade Lima, and children. Cadoca’s body will be cremated, in a ceremony restricted to the family, at 11 a.m.
Cadoca’s death was confirmed by his own wife, Berenice, on a social network. “You, Cadoca, will be intensely present in our lives, in the happiest memories and forever in our hearts,” he wrote.

Biography of Cadoca
In addition to serving as a federal deputy for five terms, Cadoca, who graduated as a lawyer from Recife Law School in 1967, held other important public positions. He was a Recife councilor for two terms, as well as a State Representative. He was one of the creators of the tourist project Recife Alto Astral, very famous in the 90s, and a supporter of Recifolia.
Cadoca was also Municipal Secretary for Economic Development, Tourism and Sports of Recife between 1993 and 1998; vice president of the Northeast Tourism Foundation between 1996 and 1997; President of the Nordeste Tourism Foundation between 1999 and 2001; as well as Secretary of Economic Development, Tourism and Sports of the Pernambuco government in the period of Jarbas Vasconcelos (MDB), between 1999 and 2002.
