Fluminense defeats Bangu with a goose goal and enters the Carioca G4

Fluminense needed a victory to enter the qualifying zone for the semifinals of the Carioca Championship. And that’s exactly what happened. With Ganso’s goal, it took Tricolor a few minutes to beat Bangu 1-0 tonight (20), in São Januário, and jump to fourth place – Botafogo plays tomorrow and can regain the place.

After a terrible first half, without many opportunities, Fluminense improved in the complementary stage and achieved the important victory. Bangu couldn’t take the pressure after the break, when Tricolor created at least three big chances until he managed to open the scoring and declare victory.

With the result, Fluminense climbed to six points and jumped four places in the standings: from eighth to fourth. Tricolor will return to the field on Tuesday, when he will visit Boavista in Saquarema. Bangu, meanwhile, continues with four points and falls to eighth place, faces Madureira, on Wednesday.

First presentation at 29

The game between Fluminense and Bangu on Saturday night left the fans numb. To get an idea, the first submission only took place in the 29th minute, with Michel Araújo. The Uruguayan received a ball from the right and hit hard for a good defense from Paulo Henrique.

Notable, Gabriel Teixeira almost scored on a hesitant rival

One of the highlights of the game was Gabriel Teixeira. Nervous and fast, he put his teammates in good condition, but the last pass avoided scoring opportunities. At one point, he was thrown by Goose and took advantage of Bangu’s butt to kick the net from the outside.

Fluminense returns from rest and puts pressure

Fluminense’s stance was completely different after the break. The team returned for the second half and the goal seemed a matter of time. In just a few minutes, the team managed to create good opportunities and do what little it did in the first 45 minutes.

Goose opens score for Fluminense

And that is exactly what happened. In a good offensive plot, Caio Paulista shot Igor Julião deep, and the defender went to the baseline to find Ganso inside the area. At first, he dislocated the goalkeeper and opened the scoring for Fluminense.

Bangu has goal disallowed in controversial bet

Bangu launched the attack and reached a draw, but the referee canceled the offer. Dionatan received on the left with freedom and center for Jean Carlos to score. Without the VAR in this phase of Carioca, the bet generated controversy, since the top scorer seemed to be on the same line.

Marcos Felipe saves Fluminense

Fluminense was barely sanctioned at the end of the game. Bangu’s center forward Jean Carlos received a ball inside the area and turned on Matheus Ferraz. In front of Marcos Felipe, he saw the tricolor goalkeeper grow large, take the angle and make a saving defense.
