Fluminense needed a victory to enter the qualifying zone for the semifinals of the Carioca Championship. And that’s exactly what happened. With Ganso’s goal, it took Tricolor a few minutes to beat Bangu 1-0 tonight (20), in São Januário, and jump to fourth place – Botafogo plays tomorrow and can regain the place.
After a terrible first half, without many opportunities, Fluminense improved in the complementary stage and achieved the important victory. Bangu couldn’t take the pressure after the break, when Tricolor created at least three big chances until he managed to open the scoring and declare victory.
With the result, Fluminense climbed to six points and jumped four places in the standings: from eighth to fourth. Tricolor will return to the field on Tuesday, when he will visit Boavista in Saquarema. Bangu, meanwhile, continues with four points and falls to eighth place, faces Madureira, on Wednesday.

The game between Fluminense and Bangu on Saturday night left the fans numb. To get an idea, the first submission only took place in the 29th minute, with Michel Araújo. The Uruguayan received a ball from the right and hit hard for a good defense from Paulo Henrique.
Notable, Gabriel Teixeira almost scored on a hesitant rival
One of the highlights of the game was Gabriel Teixeira. Nervous and fast, he put his teammates in good condition, but the last pass avoided scoring opportunities. At one point, he was thrown by Goose and took advantage of Bangu’s butt to kick the net from the outside.
