Pastor Flordelis dos Santos de Souza was accused by a former parishioner of luring believers to have sex with them. The 48-year-old man, a resident of the Jacarezinho favela, in the North Zone of Rio, testified at the Niterói and São Gonçalo Homicide Police Station (DHNSG) during the investigations into the death of pastor Anderson do Carmo and made new revelations to the police about the incident. the life of the parliamentarian.
The man told investigators that he was a “worker” of the church at the time it was operating in the Rocha neighborhood, in the North Zone, and he also frequented Flordelis’ home. According to the testimony, after spending time with his family, he began to perceive what he called an unusual activity, “in which people who attended the services were lured to the house” to have sex with the pastor and the deputy. At that time, Flordelis and Pastor Anderson were already married.
The witness cites a couple as an example and says that the man had sex with the deputy. “The declarant himself believes that he was initially attracted to this purpose,” says the man’s statement, which Jornal Extra had access to. He reports that he has been seduced by Flordelis on two occasions, but denies having had sexual relations with her.
Subtle hint
The man described that on one occasion, during a trip to a pastor’s meeting, Anderson convinced him to stay in the same room as Flordelis. According to the witness, the pastor “subtly hinted at him.” The man recalls another situation, which occurred during a spiritual retreat, in which Flordelis said that he had a vision that he loved his own wife more than she loved him. From there, she claims to have begun to distance herself from the family.
Requested by Jornal Extra, Flordelis denied the allegations made by the witness that she would lure believers to have sex with her. Let him (witness) prove it. It’s a lie. That never existed, ”he says.
Pastor wanted to be venerated
At the end of his testimony, the witness emphasized to the police that his current perception is that Flordelis and his family actually participate in a sect, which looks like a religious congregation, but has nothing to do with “what I wrote in the Bible “. The witness assured that he was sure that “the practices of this family are to involve and psychologically manipulate the closest people in a subtle way.”
The man also gave details about Flordelis’s personality. According to him, the parish priest always made it clear that she was the “center of the family’s honors”, that they should be venerated and her orders respected. “She said she demanded respect from everyone, including Anderson, and that if they didn’t respect her, she would beat anyone,” the man told police. The witness also revealed that he had witnessed a meeting in which, in a very subtle way, a plan was put on the agenda to “eliminate” a pastor who was disturbing the Flordelis church. The man, however, does not detail whether something was actually executed.
The witness also told DHNSG details about the family that investigators already knew about, such as the unequal treatment between the children and the existence of a nucleus in the house closest to Flordelis.
The man also told police that during the time he was at the home, he learned that before he began dating Flordelis, Anderson dated one of his biological daughters, Simone.
Flordelis is accused of having ordered the death of Pastor Anderson do Carmo. Seven children and a granddaughter of the deputy are also accused of involvement in the murder, including Simone herself. They are all in prison, except Flordelis, who has parliamentary immunity and could therefore only be caught red-handed and for a heinous crime.
