RIO – Federal Deputy Flordelis dos Santos de Souza resigned from her post in the Chamber of Deputies, in Brasilia, Gerson Conceição de Oliveira, affectionate son who is being investigated for his participation in the death of Pastor Anderson do Carmo. The loss of the post came after EXTRA revealed on Monday that the parliamentarian kept her son as parliamentary secretary even with a court decision prohibiting her from having contact with him.
Gerson is no longer on the list of acting cabinet clerks, according to a query made to the Chamber of Deputies website earlier this Wednesday afternoon. The name of the affectionate son is in the “hiring history”, where the clerks are already exonerated. He earned a monthly salary of R $ 15,600 and had held the position since the beginning of Flordelis’s mandate, in February of last year.
The big family: Named as the mastermind of her husband’s death, Flordelis gained fame as the ‘mother of 55 children’
As revealed by EXTRA, Gerson is being investigated by the Homicide Police in Niterói and São Gonçalo (DHNSG) in a third open investigation to determine the participation of four other people in Anderson’s murder. The affectionate son, who is also a pastor, is the one who has been leading the services in the Flordelis churches.
On the 24th, Flordelis was denounced by the Public Ministry and was charged with being responsible for Anderson’s death. At that time, five sons and a granddaughter of the parliamentarian were arrested. Two of them, Carlos Ubiraci and André Luiz de Oliveira – who were also stationed at the office – were exonerated after being arrested. Gerson, however, remained in office.
Flordelis case: Family plot involves fight for money, betrayal and suspected poisoning
As Flordelis cannot be detained, due to her parliamentary immunity, Judge Nearis dos Santos Carvalho Arce, of the 3rd Criminal Court of Niterói, determined that the pastor comply with some precautionary measures. One is the prohibition on contacting witnesses to Anderson’s death, other defendants in the lawsuit, and also those still under investigation, such as Gerson.
After completing the second phase of the investigation, in which Flordelis, seven children and a granddaughter were charged, the Civil Police opened a new investigation to continue investigating the participation of other people in the crime. In addition to Gerson, Flordelis’s granddaughter, Lorrane dos Santos Oliveira, the family’s employee, Gilcinéa Teixeira do Nascimento, and the pastor’s driver, Márcio da Costa Paulo, known as Buba, are being investigated.
Affectionate child
Gerson came to the Flordelis home in 2006, when he was welcomed as a loving son of the pastor. He lived in the house until 2013, when he got married. Affectionate children are those who have never been formally adopted and therefore do not have Flordelis as a mother on their birth certificates. Despite this, the Rio Civil Police and state prosecutors saw evidence of nepotism, a practice whereby a public agent uses his position to name or hire family members, in the deputy office, so the evidence is sent to the Attorney General. .
In July of last year, GLOBO questioned Flordelis about the affective children who have positions in her office. At that time, the deputy press office declared that there was no legal impediment to the elections and appointments of Flordelis.
