Flordelis case: Police investigate bomb at home of witnesses

The Rio de Janeiro Civil Police are investigating a complaint from a witness heard in the murder case of Pastor Anderson do Carmo, husband of federal deputy Flordelis. The witness, businesswoman Regiane Rabelo, said she was the target of a bomb attack on Friday morning (4).

Denounced on charges of ordering the crime, Flordelis (PSD-RJ) was not arrested for having parliamentary immunity. She should be notified next Tuesday (8) by the Ministry of the Interior of the Chamber about the investigation process that may culminate with the termination of her mandate.

According to the data released by the newspaper Extra, the businesswoman reported that the bomb was dropped around midnight in a corridor outside the house. She and her husband were at the residence. Regiane believes that he is being retaliated against for reporting Federal Representative Flordelis dos Santos and other family members to the police. The businesswoman is a former boss of Lucas Cézar dos Santos Souza, Flordelis’s adopted son, who was arrested on charges of participation in the crime.

– It was a scare at the time. My neighbor’s mother even fell to the ground with the noise. The intention was to scare me, so I could shut up. But it will not happen. She was scared, but she left. Now that they won’t shut me up, ”Regiane told Extra.
