Paulo Marinho’s complaint
Based on the complaint made in May by Marinho -who is Flávio’s alternate in the Senate-, the MPF investigates an alleged leak of information from Operation Furna da Onça to Flávio Bolsonaro.
According to the businessman, Flávio would have been informed of the operation between the first and second rounds of the 2018 elections by a delegate from the PF who was sympathetic to the candidacy of Jair Bolsonaro.
As Marinho reported in an interview with Folha de S.Paulo, the police would have secured the operation, which was later classified, so that it did not take place in the middle of the second round, avoiding prejudging Bolsonaro’s candidacy.
Operation Furna da Onça published a report from Coaf (Council for the Control of Financial Activities) that points to unusual movements in the account of Fabrício Queiroz, former Flávio advisor. The document also provides evidence of the practice of cracking in the office of Jair Bolsonaro’s eldest son.
In Marinho’s version, the informant advised Flávio to fire Queiroz and one of his daughters, who worked in Jair Bolsonaro’s federal council in Brasilia.
This MPF investigation does not concern the so-called Queiroz Case in which the Public Ministry of Rio investigates the alleged cracking scheme in Flávio’s office in Alerj (Rio Legislative Assembly).
