Flamengo is the new leader of the Carioca Championship. The red and black team beat Botafogo by 2 to 0, this Wednesday (24), in Nilton Santos, beat Volta Redonda and took the top of the table. The victory was built with goals from Rodrigo Muniz, the competition’s top scorer, and Hugo Moura. The home team was left with a player less than 20 minutes into the second half, when Kanu was sent off.
This was the first loss of the season for Alvinegro, which, between the state and the Copa do Brasil, came from two wins and three draws. With the victory, Gávea’s team reached 12 points, while Glorioso was left with six. In the next round, Fla takes Boavista and Botafogo faces Nova Iguaçu.
Pedro does marketing actions, but says goodbye early
