Searches for the missing man in the Arrudas stream resumed on Thursday morning (12) after being washed away by a current in the eastern region of Belo Horizonte. Firefighters began looking for him at the Arrudas treatment plant, and there are no further updates so far.

On Wednesday afternoon, soldiers from the Fire Department were summoned to help the man captured by the stream of the Arrudas stream. The sweeps were carried out in the early hours of the night along the entire perimeter of the stream, from the Horto neighborhood, in the eastern region of Belo Horizonte, to Sabará, in the metropolitan region. However, searches had to stop at 7:30 pm due to decreased visibility.
According to the Military Police (PM), a merchant in the region who noticed that the victim was being dragged, threw a rope at the man – and the one who appears in the images – moments before he could no longer hold her and they took him away. . It is not yet known how it fell into the stream.
