Safety recommendations

“No action is capable of completely preventing the transmission of Covid-19. To mitigate the risks, follow the following guidelines:

  1. Wear a mask whenever you are not eating or drinking;
  2. Have a bag to store the mask when you eat or drink and keep it clean and dry between uses;
  3. Have an extra clean mask, in case you need to change it (wear time, humidity or dirt);
  4. Avoid crowds and keep a distance of at least 2 meters between participants;
  5. Avoid handshakes or hugs;
  6. Give preference to open or well ventilated places. Avoid using air conditioning;
  7. Wash your hands frequently during the event with soap and water or use alcohol;
  8. Do not share objects, such as silverware or glasses;
  9. After handling objects that are shared with other guests (for example, serving utensils, jars, and bottles), wash your hands with soap and water or alcohol.

Guidelines for home festivities

  1. Limit the number of guests based on the size of the space, allowing people to keep a distance of 2 meters between them;
  2. Instruct your guests to bring their own masks;
  3. Avoid loud music so people don’t have to yell or speak loudly. If someone is infected with the virus, they will release more virus particles into the environment;
  4. Give preference to open or well ventilated places. Avoid using air conditioning;
  5. Don’t allow guests to line up to be served;
  6. Instruct guests not to sit together for dinner. Organize separate spaces for people who live together;
  7. Have soap and paper to dry your hands in the bathroom. Avoid using cloth towels;
  8. Provide alcohol gel in the environments;
  9. Use pedal trash cans for people to dispose of their waste without having to put their hands on the lid. Wash your hands after emptying the trash can.

Preparation and way of serving food

  1. Wash your hands before preparing food and wear a mask during preparation;
  2. Limit the number of people in the environment where food is prepared or handled;
  3. If you offer drinks, make them available in individual packages (cans or bottles), arranged in cubes with ice, so that people can serve themselves;
  4. Offer individually packaged condiments, salad dressings, or spices whenever possible;
  5. Avoid sharing utensils for serving food.
  6. Dishes and drinks in non-individual containers must be served by one person. The person in charge must wash their hands before serving and always wear the mask;
  7. After the event, wash all dishes under running water and detergent, or use the dishwasher.

People who should avoid dating

If you plan to entertain or celebrate elsewhere, be sure to:

  1. You have symptoms related to Covid-19 or have already been diagnosed with the disease;
  2. You are still in the 14-day period since you had your first Covid-19-related symptoms (even if you haven’t had a diagnostic test);
  3. You are waiting for the result of a molecular test to find out if you have Covid-19;
  4. You kept in touch with someone who had had the illness in the past 14 days.

In the above cases, maintain the isolation of the home. Do not invite people into your home, visit or attend events.
