A post with an apology for a scratched car went viral on the internet. In the note, a boy said he had jumped off his bike and crashed into the vehicle. In the end, the boy wrote the father’s phone number so he could pay for the repair.
“How can I get mad at this kid?” Marcelo Martins, owner of the car, posted on social media. The photo, from Sunday (13), had more than 350 thousand likes and 35 thousand shares.

The author of the entry is Benício, 7 years old. He was riding a bicycle with his father on the street when he lost his balance and hit the car with the handlebars.

According to the boy’s father, Marcel Weiss Hoffmann, the boy did not rest until he found a solution to the car damage.
“He was very uncomfortable, he kept asking if it was going to be expensive. He even gave him a change and regretted that his money was not going to pay him,” recalled the father.
The car’s owner, however, said that he didn’t even notice the scratch on the body when he saw the note.

“I looked everywhere, my car was a bit dirty and I didn’t even notice. If it weren’t for the ticket, I wouldn’t have noticed it,” said the car’s owner.

According to Marcelo, the gesture surprised him. “We think that someone who hits your car can run away, especially at this age, but it seemed to me a gesture of sweetness, of great honesty,” said Marcelo.
Benício’s father said that despite the boy’s age, he was proud of the way he dealt with the situation.
“I was very proud, because we try to educate for that. That he is responsible for his actions in the future, that he learns from mistakes,” said the father.
Benício himself said that his goal was to fix what he had caused. “Causing the problem and leaving the problem is not good,” added the boy.
