Last Friday the 25th, almost 70% of the medical experts returned to face-to-face care at the branches of the National Institute of Social Security (INSS). As an association representing experts, it considered 25 agencies best able to offer safe care to physicians and policyholders.
Medical experience is necessary for those who need to demonstrate the right to disability retirement, accident benefits and sickness benefits. It also needs to be evaluated, who receives retirement and pension and has any serious illness and is exempt from income tax.
In addition, disabled retirees who depend on the caregiver and are entitled to an additional 25% in the benefit amount, and disabled retirees who need the permanent help of a caregiver in daily activities, must go through the expertise.
On the other hand, people with disabilities and low-income people who applied for the Continuous Payment Benefit (BPC) in advance were released.
Who should go through the INSS medical experience?
- Those who seek to receive disability pensions, sickness benefits and accident benefits and need to undergo an expert opinion to obtain the release of the benefit
- Retirees due to disability who depend on a caregiver and are entitled to an additional 25% of the benefit amount;
- A worker who has suffered an injury, accident or illness must seek medical attention and receive a certificate to be removed. In this case, the boss pays the first 15 days of leave and, from that moment, the worker must schedule an investigation to begin receiving assistance from the INSS. Some companies schedule services for the employee;
- If the worker wishes to grant disability retirement, he must first apply for sickness benefit.
Planning
The service in the INSS branches is carried out by programming, through Meu INSS or by calling 135. If it is already programmed, but it was not attended due to lack of an expert, you can reschedule a new date. If your request is denied, you have the right to appeal the denial within 30 days.
