Former president Fernando Henrique Cardoso voted around 10 am on Sunday (15) in Higienópolis, in the central region of São Paulo. He was accompanied by the candidate for mayor of São Paulo, Bruno Covas (PSDB).

FHC said that “of course” it voted for Bruno Covas. Asked about a possible return of the PSDB’s leadership to politics with chances of victory, the former president said: “I hope it helps.”

“Bruno is a new leader. The party ‘dies’ if it reaches a certain age. I don’t have to aspire to anything. I have to pass the baton on to the other. ”

He believes that Covas will surely win, and said that “there is a certain arrogance in the current government,” referring to President Jair Bolsonaro.

“You have to watch people. Do not forget that the situation is difficult. Therefore, those who are in a slightly better situation should not be mistaken. There are many employment problems in Brazil. We have another problem which is the burning of Brazil abroad. There is a certain lack of control (…). And there is an arrogance of the current government ”.
