Felipão officially started working at Cruzeiro. The coach conducted his first training session this Monday afternoon, in Curitiba. The activity marked the end of the preparation for the duel with Operário-PR, this Tuesday, at 9:30 p.m., for the 17th round of Serie B do Brasileiro.
Luiz Felipe Scolari was confirmed as the team’s coach last Thursday, but has since been working on the details of his move from Rio Grande do Sul to Minas Gerais. In Friday’s game, against Juventude, assistant Carlos Pracidelli was in Mineirão.
For the duel on Tuesday, Felipão will not be able to count on Manoel and Daniel Guedes, who had been starters. The defender was diagnosed with Covid-19 and is isolated, while the right back is suspended for the third yellow.

In return, the coach has at his disposal the full-back Matheus Pereira, recovered from Covid-19, and Patrick Brey, reinstated to the squad, as well as the midfielder Marquinhos Gabriel, released after being out of the last four games due to a sprained ankle.
Without Guedes, Matheus Pereira should start on the left, with Rafael Luiz acting on the right. In defense, the tendency is for Ramón to play alongside Cacá. Instead in the middle, since I was used as a midfielder on Friday, the options are Filipe Machado, Jadson and Adriano. In the attack, Marcelo Moreno, who played with Felipão in Grêmio, should replace Sassá. The likely team has:
Fábio; Rafael Luiz, Cacá, Ramon and Matheus Pereira; Filipe Machado (Jadson), Jadsom Silva and Régis; Airton, Arthur Caíke (Maurício) and Marcelo Moreno (Sassá).
With only two victories in the last 15 games (including the duel with CRB for the Brazilian Cup), Cruzeiro will debut as the fourth manager of the season. In Brasileirão, the team has only 13 points and is in second place.
