Known for using a futuristic and geometric style, redesigning post-WWII French fashion, the brand is now present in 140 countries around the world and goes far beyond clothing: its user licenses range from bicycles to mattresses. , from cigarettes to curtains. .
Cardin is also considered the first high-end designer to design a “ready-to-wear” collection, a line of “ready-to-wear” clothing for an audience that brands were not attending at the time. He was criticized for “popularization”, but his gesture was followed in the following years by practically all the great houses.

In January this year, his life and career in fashion was the subject of a documentary “House of Cardin”, which showed the stylist in full swing, even almost a century old.
