[ad_1]

OR family allowance It is an amount that is paid to the employee, including the domestic worker, and to the individual worker, according to the number of children or equivalent he has. Children over 14 years of age are not entitled, except in the case of the disabled (for whom there is no age limit). In 2020, the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) frees a fee of R $ 48.62 for each child.

To be eligible, a citizen must meet the maximum income limit set by the federal government.

In 2020, the program will continue for people with incomes up to R $ 1,425.56. The value was readjusted by 4.48%, in the same proportion of the minimum wage and salary bonus of the PIS / Sep. The amounts were confirmed by Ordinance No. 914 of the Special Secretariat for Social Security and Labor of the Ministry of Economy, published on January 14.

It is worth mentioning that if the person in charge performs more than one remunerative activity, the gross monthly amount of the contribution wages will be considered.

The employee, including the domestic worker, must apply for the family allowance directly from the employer. The individual worker, on the other hand, must request the benefit from the union or management agency to which he is linked.

If these workers are receiving sickness benefits, disability pensions and rural retirement pensions, they must apply to the INSS.

The same occurs with the rest of retirees, who are also entitled to the family allowance, if they are over 65 years old, if they are men, or 60 years old, if they are women, and they have children who meet the criteria of the concession.

Readjustment in 2020

The value of the family allowance for 2020 is R $ 48.62 per child up to 14 years of age or over in cases of disability or disability. In 2020, a limit of up to R $ 1,425.56 was established. In 2019, gross income should not exceed R $ 1,364.43.

The Constitutional Menu No. 103/2019, which alters the social security system and determines new rules, was in charge of establishing a single amount for the payment of the family allowance.
